Inside of Miniature House

In this post I will show you some pictures of the inside of my Miniature House and explain how I changed the kit into my own special doll's house.

On the groundfloor I shifted the door from the living room to create space for adding a toilet.

On the first floor I created an extra room into an existing room,
so I would have a seperate bathroom in the house.

Finally I decorated the walls, ceilings and floors. For example  I made an inlaid floor (parquet) out of small pieces of wood veneer and a hearth with faux marble.

In the kitchen I constructed a hearth/chimney  big enough for to my kitchen-cooker to fit in.
The kitchenfloor I painted  faux-granite.

Outside of Miniature House

This is the first post of my blog about my Miniature House. I built the house from a kit. I made an extra chimney and created the fences on the balcony, verandah and porch. I also made both outer doors and all windows myself,  for I wanted the kit to turn into a house from around 1900 with typical dutch features, for example the stained glass above the front door.

After putting the kit together with glue and screws, I sanded, primed and sanded again until the surface of the house was really smooth. I then painted it and decorated the walls and the roof. At last I added the fences, doors and windows.
